Don't Be Afraid of the Dark Gets January 21 Release Date

Variety reports that Disney has set a January 21 release data for Guillermo del Toro's Don't Be Afraid of the Dark movie. The film stars stars Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, Bailee Madison and Jack Thompson.

Story centers on a young girl, portrayed by Madison, who's sent to live with her father (Pearce) and his girlfriend (Holmes) in the old mansion they are renovating, where she unwittingly unleashes malevolent creatures bent on destroying all of them.

The film is a remake of a 1973 made for tv film.
