The Beowulf Trailer is Here The trailer for Beowulf is out -- and the movie looks fantastic. Adapted by Roger Avery and Neil Gaiman from the ancient saga that many of us were forced to read in high school, this version of Beowulf is done in stop motion capture by director Robert Zemeckis. At Comic-con, a longer bit of the movie was played in which Angelina Jolie (as Grendel's mother) emerges naked from a pool of water and mightily temps the warrior Beowulf. Johnny Depp has signed
to play the lead in the feature film of the hit TV series, Dark Shadows.
Warner Brothers is teaming with Depp's Infinitum-Nihil and Graham King's GK Films to develop the movie. Depp has said in interviews that he has always been obsessed with Dark Shadows and had, as a child, wanted to be Barnabas Collins, the vampire patriarch of the series. The role was originated by Jonathan Frid.Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins on the big screen? That works for us. Sunshine takes place fifty years from now. Our Sun is failing and a vital mission has been sent to explode a bomb inside the Sun to try and reignite it. A couple other interesting Sunshine videos include this video that shows the filmmakers simulating the experience of Zero G and this more horrific video that shows the deaths of each crew member of the Icarus II.
